5. The opening salutation can be Dear sir/ma

6. The body of the letter is important, and it should be in 3 paragraphs.

  • Introduce yourself and state the reason for your letter in the opening paragraph.

  • In the third paragraph can serve as a conclusion in which you outline your expectations for the situation.

7. Close the letter with ‘Yours Sincerely’, add the date and signature.

  • Avoid grammatical blunders and avoid big grammar. You can get friends to help you do proofreading.
  • Make the letter as simple and straightforward as possible.
  • The chance of approval increases if the company sends the letter to the NYSC secretariat by itself. You can also take it by yourself.
  • In the body of the letter, specify the name, Matric number, and state code of the corps members you are requesting for.
  • You can submit the request letter during the Orientation camp and after the orientation camp. The best time to submit it is during the Orientation camp.

  2. please can i write a letter without state code efore going to camp, as the letter requires a state code and they only give out state code after you enter camp
