I am Lillian and a graduate from zenith University College Ghana. Please I just want to know more about evaluation letter from federal ministry of education and if it’s compulsory for registration and how can I get it, since am presently in Nigeria.
    thank you

    • Foreign trained graduates require an NYSC Evaluation Letter to be eligible to participate in the NYSC service scheme.

The NYSC board have made it compulsory for foreign trained prospective corps members from foreign institutions, whose accreditation are in doubt to upload letter of evaluation during mobilization.

      This article below will help
      https://www.nyscnews.com/nysc-evaluation-letter-for-foreign-graduates-how-to-process-it/

      • please my school have sent the list of graduated students but the issue here is that most of us are already in Nigeria and getting it from Ghana will be difficult. I don’t know how long it will take for the federal ministry of education to send our evaluation letter to Ghana..please how can we get the evaluation letter here in Nigeria.

        • You don’t need to go the Ministry of Education in Abuja again. All you have to do is get all the documents you uploaded for evaluation and take them along to your orientation camp. You will be evaluated at camp.

          • please, I am trying to understand you.. Are you saying when the portal opens, I should register and forget about the evaluation letter since I will be evaluated in camp.

          • Let me explain. During NYSC registration, you are going to upload some documents on NYSC portal, for evaluation. Before now, after uploading your documents, you will have to go to Ministry of Education in Abuja to be evaluated.

However, now, you don’t need to go to Abuja for evaluation. ONCE YOU UPLOAD THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS ON NYSC PORTAL, YOU WILL PRINT YOUR CALL UP LETTER AND TAKE ALONG WITH YOU THE ORIGINAL COPIES OF ALL THE DOCUMENTS YOU UPLOADED FOR EVALUATION TO CAMP. After proper screening, you will be evaluated.

You are not going to forget it. Evaluation is important. I hope m clear. if you are not getting it, let me know.

    • Unlike in the past, Foreign-trained graduates should NOT visit NYSC Headquarters, Abuja for verification of their documents. This exercise will now be done at the Orientation Camps. They should simply print their call-up letters on-line and report at the Orientation camps in their States of deployment, but should come to the camp with the original documents they uploaded for verification.

  2. i am Thaddeus Jonathan, i was in the camp batch B steam II in Wailo Bauchi state but unfortunate my fingerprint did not verified so i have to come back home. what should be my next step now?

    • You were mobilized, given a call up number, a call up letter and even went to camp. But your biometric did not verify and you have to come back home.

Probably the mistake occurred during registration or someone else thumb print for you at the cafe.

      Is this the case?

  3. I am Lillian, please how can we get the evaluation letter here in Nigeria…

    • You don’t need to go the Ministry of Education in Abuja again. All you have to do is get all the documents you uploaded for evaluation and take them along to your orientation camp. You will be evaluated at camp.

  4. Am sorry admin I understand you perfectly but I still don’t get the reason why nysc will be requesting for evaluation letter from the federal ministry of education as part of the requirements for foreign students..

    • The federal Govt can easily verify and have access to Nigerian higher institutions. Evaluation is necessary for them to be sure you actually finished from the foreign institution you claim and that the Institution is Legit. It’s just for authenticity sake.

  5. Admin am still waiting for ur respons

    • It’s always good to prevent things like this that looking for a solution after it’s all done. You will have to wait for next batch and remobilize. And you will have to visit any NYSC Secretariat close to you to talk to the LI and tell him/her everything that happened. They will help out.

It’s better to take actions now because as far as NYSC is concerned, you have registered and did not appear so you will not have chance to do a fresh registration. Visit any NYSC close to you.

  6. Admin when is batch C registration starting
