While the majority of the mistakes are caused by the Cyber Cafe man, the negligence of the PCM and lack of adequate information is also another fault. See also: Top 10 Things You Must Know Before NYSC Registration

Authority of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) released hard-to-rectify mistakes during registration and how to avoid them during registration:

1. Registration by proxy is an attempt to trick the system to bypass the biometric verification and affected PCM cannot register at camp because the biometrics is not his/hers. If the fingerprint scanner is not taking your finger, make sure you clean your hand and try again. Do not let any Cafe man rush you through this procedure. 2. Mixed up Registration: some cyber cafe operators have the habit of registering more than one persons at a time in one computer by opening 2 or more tabs on the same browser. This causes mix-up in the PCM information which is hard to rectify.

We advise you to sit with the person registering you and make sure he doesn’t register another person at the same time he registers you. When you want to go somewhere before he finishes with u, tell him to log you out before he starts with somebody. Read also: Top 10 Reasons Why Serving In The Village Is Awesome

3. Don’t allow the cafe operator to use his email address for you. If you don’t have email, let him create one for you and make sure he gives you the details…email address and the password. Keep them safe because you need them.

4. For married women, make sure you go with your marital documents, choose married online and upload them during registration. In the column to input your spouse surname, make sure you put the correct surname you are using after marriage.

5. For a sick person, make sure you indicate it and the type of sickness, also provide all other details and upload a medical report.

6. For military and SSS, make sure you indicate and provide all other relevant info and upload the required documents. Read also: Top 10 Reasons People Hustle To Do NYSC In Lagos

7. If you are a foreign trained graduate, make sure you read the registration requirements at nysc.gov.ng and upload all required documents. Try to log into your account time to time for information asking you to update some of your documents. Failure to do so may lead you not mobilized eventually.

Good evening ma how was your day ma, pls ma I registered today when I login to my email to register my first details came out then I discover my date of birth the year is not correct I ask the cyber cafe man to correct it he said I can’t correct it , I can only correct it in camp because it’s uploaded from my school
And again my status is showing pending approval
And he didn’t print out evidence of payment for my call up letter he said there is no need that I will go to camp with the green card that I will print later
So pls what do I do in this three challenge:
    1) the incorrect DOB
    2) the pending approval and
    3) the print out to collect receipt in camp

  8. Good evening Lola so I made a mistake in my name correction I clicked on addition of name instead of spelling errors. So I want to know if it’s going to affect me. Because I tried correcting the mistake by going to click on spelling errors but they said I have a pending application and I don’t know what to do now

  9. Good morning all pls i want to have a clarification on this 30 yrs stuff Concerning NYSC.
I graduated 2019 October 23, and the date of birth i use in regularizing in JAMB is 1990 November 14… Pls can i go for services this year?

  10. Please Lola my name on jamb portal is three, while my name on my statement of results is two.how do I go about it

  11. Good evening ma.

The name on my o level certificate, Nd, and my Hnd certificate is JAMIU HAKEEM O. But when i wanted to do jamb regularization, jamb asked us to provide national I.D card. The name on my National I.D card is JAMIU HAKEEM OMOBOLA.

When Senate list was pasted, my name is written as JAMIU HAKEEM OMOBOLA because of the NIN I used for jamb regularization. Is this name i used for Nysc registration.

What give me concern now is that, the name on my certificate is JAMIU HAKEEM O. while the name on my NYSC portal is JAMIU HAKEEM OMOBOLA.

Hope this wouldn’t affect me in the camp.
