Top 10 Things All Prospective Corps Members Should Do Now
So what are the things you should do now as Prospective Corps members? These are exactly what you will discover below. Make sure you read to the end because I’m about to prepare your mind for what is to come.
1. Make Things Right
The first thing you want to do is to make things right with your institution. They are the ones responsible for your Mobilization and if they don’t put your name on the list, NYSC will not even know you exist.
Make sure you don’t have any issues that can delay your school clearance or statement of results.
If you have any outstanding courses, you should fix them all before mobilization. So one thing you want to do now is making things right.
Your mobilization depends on your school and they have to clear you completely before can be aligible for NYSC.
2. Get A Gmail
A smart person might want to ask what about yahoo mail. My answer is that opening a Gmail won’t cost you anything. I will advise you to open a Gmail account for your NYSC registration and if you already have a Gmail, that’s great.
The NYSC management recommend a Gmail account for NYSC. So kindly get a Gmail account that you can login to.

3. Foreign-trained Graduates
If you did not graduate from any institution here in Nigeria, you should prepare your mind for the NYSC online registration.

4. Keep N3,000 Aside
Apart from the money, you will pay the cafe man to do the NYSC registration for you, you will have to keep aside 3k for the printing of call-up letter online.
Although you may not pay if you will want to go to your institution to collect your call-up letter. But what I will advice you is to pay the money online so that you can print your letter anywhere you are. Put your mind at this.
5. Do You Need regularization?
Jamb Regularization is meant for people who got admission into a higher institution without JAMB. If you belong to this category, you should start your regularization straight away.

6. Domicile letter (Married Female Only)
A Domicile letter for NYSC is a letter to confirm your husband’s residential address. NYSC do not want to post a married female Corper far away from her husband. It’s very risky.
To prevent any unfortunate probabilities, you will submit the domicile letter to make NYSC post you close to your home. I have written a very useful full article about this and you should check it out here.
7. Passport Photograph
You will need a passport size photograph. If you don’t already have, you should get it now. You will need it for the Orientation camp.
Please make sure the picture is clear and don’t attempt to use the one you used during your JAMB or the one you used during 100L.
Blue or red background is okay. Just make sure its clear.
8. Statement of Result
Remember number One point. This is just an emphasis of the point above. You will need a statement of results for your NYSC programme. Without your Original statement of results, you will not be sent out of the NYSC camp.
Make sure you have it with you and if you are thinking of forging one, you will be arrested and face the penalty.
9. Join WhatsApp Group

Your company should write NYSC officially. Thats if you are deployed to the state the company you work for is

You can’t be deployed to a state and work in another state. It won’t work

Hi, Lola. As of now, 20th Sept., is there any NYSC registration going on? I read that there is a special registration that began sometimes 13th Sept and would close by 4th Oct. for those of us who absconded. How true? Thanks for your informations.

I was supposed to have been mobilised with the just mobilised set but I didn’t even register. Does it mean that the ongoing registration is for me? If I do the registration now, does it mean that I’d be mobilised before or with Batch Stream I? And, what if I wait for Batch C Stream I proper, any likely problem?

Hi Lola pls what kind of hospital can one do the medical fitness tests…is it in a government hospital, private registered hospital or better still one should go to a medical lab directly for the tests because people are just giving false information?
Only Federal or Military hospitals. Walk there and tell them you want to do NYSC fitness certificate.
